In response to numerous community complaints, authorities conducted the operation at Young & Powerful Spa, in Port Jefferson Station, at 650 Route 112 at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22.
Following the investigation, Bibo Yan, age 48, of Flushing, and Lili Li, age 46, of Jericho, were both charged with unauthorized practice of a profession.
Town of Brookhaven Investigators and the Fire Marshal issued numerous violations for fire and building code offenses.
Agencies involved in the investigation were:
- Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section officers,
- SCPD Sixth Squad detectives,
- SCPD Sixth Precinct Community Support Unit,
- Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshal and investigators
